Crop health (NDVI) mapping
See stress before it turns yellow.
A monitoring drone with a multispectral camera maps crop vigour across every block. Stressed areas stand out long before the eye can see them — then a ground inspection drone or scout confirms why.
In rollout — early sites welcomeWhy it matters
Plants under stress change how they reflect near-infrared light before they change colour. A vegetation index map such as NDVI turns that into a picture of which parts of the field are thriving and which are struggling.
The map does not say why a patch is weak — water, nutrients, pests, disease or compaction. That is why we pair it with soil data and ground inspection.
Method
How we do it
- 1
Fly
Planned grid flight with multispectral camera.
- 2
Process
Images stitched and index maps produced.
- 3
Ground-truth
Flagged zones inspected on the ground.
From finding to action
What the results change on the farm
Typical examples of how a finding turns into a decision.
| If the survey finds… | …the decision is |
|---|---|
| Low vigour patch matching a low-N block on the NPK map | Targeted top-dressing |
| Low vigour circle spreading week to week | Inspect for disease or pests; spot-spray if confirmed |
When to order it
- Mid-season on large fields and orchards
- After storms or hail, for insurance evidence
- Before and after a treatment, to see if it worked
